The Blue Stompers Jump Revue – Never Give Up !

19-05-2022

The Blue Stompers Jump Review are a multinational band, and for many years, the hidden black pearl of blues on the Costa del Sol. They sound like Woogie Boogie, blues, New Orleans jazz and the rawest R & B of Dr. Feelgood . In short: the wet swamps of the Mississippi could use some Mediterranean breeze. The Blue Stompers Jump Review have been, for many years, the hidden black pearl of blues on the Costa del Sol. A multinational band made up of the Scotsman Andy MacKechnie (drums), the Finnish Markus Duus (double bass), the "British-Cypriot " Paul Stylianou (harmonica and voice) and one of the oldest guitars in Fuengirola and its surroundings, that of Víctor "Elmore" Sánchez. You don't have to be very smart to realize that with these wickers that intertwine the musical culture of northern Europe with the Mediterranean and using blues as a mortar of union, the result can be extraordinary. The Stompers sound like Woogie Boogie, African-American blues, 1940s New Orleans jazz and the rawest R&B of Dr. Feelgood. The humid swamps of the Mississippi benefit from a bit of a Mediterranean breeze and in Edinburgh, they are grateful in the cold winters for Terral de Málaga. And to my ears too.
